In one of our flagship projects in the food packaging sector, UBL successfully deployed a fully customized automated cartoning line for Walmart’s ice cream product range. The system begins by sorting individual ice cream units, after which a smart robotic arm groups them into sets of four according to Walmart’s packaging requirements. The products are then precisely placed onto the infeed of the cartoning machine. From there, the machine automatically pushes the grouped ice cream products into pre-folded cartons and completes the sealing process in a single, continuous operation.
This fully automated line standardizes and streamlines every step of the ice cream cartoning process. It not only meets the high-frequency, high-hygiene demands of food production environments but also ensures consistent carton integrity and sealing performance. Operating at a speed of 42 cartons per minute, the solution significantly enhances both product quality at delivery and overall supply chain efficiency for Walmart’s ice cream line.
UBL designed a fully automated packaging line for Lao Gan Ma sauces, significantly improving production efficiency, food hygiene, and product protection. The line requires human intervention only for final quality inspection, minimizing manual contact and reducing hygiene risks. After capping, the sauces are automatically organized, labeled with brand stickers, and sealed with protective film on the bottle mouth, ensuring full protection of both the bottle and its seal. The line then automatically handles picking and case packing; after a brief human check for missing items, it completes carton sealing and finished goods palletizing. Each step flows seamlessly, greatly enhancing packaging efficiency while safeguarding product integrity and maintaining high food hygiene standards.
